South Yorkshire Funding Advice Bureau (SYFAB)
This organisation offers several free services such as, Information on funders and materials to support the production of applications, a monthly newsletter covering funding schemes and approaching deadlines, a development worker who can assist with planning, costing and making applications, but not with writing them, and training in Funding and Fundraising for Community & Voluntary Groups, which is accredited by the Open College Network (OCN).

South Yorkshire Open Forum (SYOF)
This body has a series of areas of work including the recruitment of advocates from the voluntary and community sector to sit on a range of committees, boards and groups on behalf of the sector at sub regional level, co-ordinating the delivery of the Change Up programme and several research programmes, delivering information and support in relation to European funding and Strategic Economic Zones supported by it.

Burngreave New Deal For Communities (BNDFC)
This organisation combines the delivery and support of a range of services for people in Burngreave and their representation in relationships with the public sector, with the provision of grant funding and capacity building support to developing local organisations and projects. (Some future provision funded through Single Pot Investment Planning system)
Sheffield Refugee Forum
This body is a forum of bodies, across public private and voluntary community and faith sectors, promoting policies and action to address the needs of asylum seekers and refugees in the city. In particular it provides an opportunity for organisations working in this area to exchange information. In addition it manages and monitors the implementation of the Sheffield Integration Strategy. Further to this it supports the development of refugee community organisations and the Refugee Community Forum.

Sheffield Out of School Network
This organisation is a partnership body aiming to support the development of good quality, locally based, affordable and accessible out of school provision for Sheffield's children. In practice they deliver support to organisations delivering such services in the form of advice on training and NVQ assessment, quality assurance, advice on funding, software tools for establishment and management of out of school provision and signposting of those seeking out of school childcare to local services.

Sheffield Community Enterprise Development Unit (SCEDU)
This organisation is similar to others operating in areas of deprivation across the UK , but seems unique within the sub region and city of Sheffield as it has a focus covering most of the city as opposed to a particular neighbourhood. The organisation contains several departments and sub organisations such as the Key Fund, Sheffield Enterprise Clusters, Sheffield Community Childcare Network, a training arm Applegrove Learning and Women in Enterprise, Using these elements the organisation assists the development and growth of community enterprises in general and in specific areas such as childcare and women's enterprise within Sheffield. Grants are available to enable groups wishing to start a new enterprise or expand an existing one (eg to carry out feasibility studies, pay for professional fees, develop business plans etc). and at the Mowbray Street site there is office space to rent and conference facilities for small start up businesses.
