In partnership with volunteer solicitors (pictured left) from Irwin Mitchell Solicitors* we are delighted to be able to offer FREE Legal Advice through the SYWOL website.
Next Surgery: December 8th 10 - 12pm
Questions can be left during the week but will only be responded to during or immediately after the surgery times.
Since the service started in September 2006, scores of women have accessed legal advice from their own computers in what have sometimes been desperate circumstances. The women who use the service can approach a solicitor directly online. This can be the vital first step in resolving their problems, perhaps even in saving their lives.
"We set up the service to give women access to high-quality legal advice in an accessible way, " said Julie Berrisford of SYWDT, who first set up the service. "It's led to a new way of getting legal advice without the daunting prospect of visiting the solicitors office.
"From the queries we have received over the years, we know this service is vitally important to women and we are delighted that the team from Irwin Mitchell are prepared to support this project."
