New Migrant Workers' Support Network for South Yorkshire

Afer months of development and discussion the new Migrants' Support Network has been set up with Take Part South Yorkshire playing a key role. There has been much discussion about migration, and much of it ill informed and prejudicial, as well as the justifiable outrage at some of the appaling employment practices being inflicted on fellow European citizens in this country. The network will fight to improve the position of our indigenous workers alongside those from other countries.

Operation Black Vote

Big Ben and the Houses of ParliamentOperation Black Vote www.obv.org.uk is the home of black politics and has all the up to date campaigns, news and information.

Fawcett Society - FEMOCRACY

With so few ethnic minority women represented in politics, the dejecting message that is being given to ethnic minority women up and down the country is "politics has little to do with your lives".

femocracy aims to put a stop to this message by increasing the number of ethnic minority women registered to vote and engaged in politics.

Read more about the project by visiting the Fawcett website at: www.fawcettsociety.org.uk

A to Z Index for BME (Black & Ethnic Minority) community pages

Show me pages in from

and include this keyword (optional).

Search tip: the ability to add a region to a community web page is a new feature and so many pages may not be associated with a region at all. For example not all organisations in Sheffield will have chosen to add Sheffield as a search category so if you search within the region 'Sheffield' you wont see them. Therefore, if you can't find what you're looking for within a specific region try searching on 'all regions'.
