With a General Election in the UK on the horizon, now is the time for Black and Minority Ethnic women to make sure they take part in the political process by registering and using their vote, says the Fawcett Society.

The Society, which campaigns for equality between women and men in work, the home and in public life, has lauched a campaign to encourage BME women to vote.

CEO Ceri Goddard points out that the women's vote can be a decisive factor in who is elected so it is important that women across the social, political and cultural spectrum take part.

For anyone who would like more information on the political process, the Fawcett Society has produced Your Voice, a guide which is available to download. You can also take part in the Society's five minute online quiz to see how political you are.

To vote, you must be registered. Click here to register to vote. Contact the Fawcett Society using thislink.
